A Pinterest Find: Sugar Cookie Bars

One of Noah's favorite things to eat are iced sugar cookies. We always make them around holidays and they are a bit hit in our house. I found this recipe on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.

The first pin I found actually called for Crisco in the recipe so I kept on searching for another recipe because I don't like to bake with Crisco if I don't have to. I came across a recipe on one of my favorite sites The Girl Who Ate Everything. Here is the recipe.

I wouldn't call this recipe a complete fail but it wasn't a big success in our house since I threw about half of it away. I'm pretty sure I used the wrong size pan as these bars were way too thick. If I make them again I have to make them pretty thin because they were so thick you expected them to be of a cake consistency.

I have to say the icing was delish! Noah insisted to put a "rainbow of colors" on the cookies.
