My Best Friend's Wedding

Just a month ago we were in beautiful Rosemary Beach. Ahh, it already seems like it was so long ago. The beach was absolutely gorgeous! Check it out for yourself.

Noah likes the pool...but he LOVES the beach. He could sit out there for hours just playing in the sand and sitting in the water. It's his favorite thing.

But enough about the beach! We were in Rosemary Beach for Angela's wedding. Hooray!

First let me just state that Angela made a gorgeous bride!

For her venue, Angela just received the keys and that's it. She had to do everything for the wedding and everything was amazing. She paid attention to every detail and everything was just lovely. Everyone had a great time!




After their big day, they then were off to Italy! From the looks of their pictures they had a great time and Amalfi is definitely on my bucket list. Congrats to the newly married couple!

Potty Training Report!

I think Noah may have read my blog this week...b/c all of a sudden potty training just stuck! I've always heard that when THEY are ready, they are ready! That really pertains to Noah.

:disclaimer, this is typical Mommy talk and if the thought of pee and poop doesn't sit well with you I suggest you stop reading now:

On Wednesday I brought up the idea of potty training again. By surprise, Noah didn't respond with his usually "No, no thank you Mommy!" instead he accepted the challenge. Yahoo!

That night we had no accidents! Thursday no pee pee accidents...but oops on a number 2 accident! It happened while I was at work so my poor mom had to clean it up, sorry Mom.

Friday no accidents at all. He even went to the dentist without a diaper on, our first real outing without a diaper and no accidents.

Yesterday we ran errands all day and NO accidents! He even did #2 on the potty.

I'm so amazed by my little boy, he is all grown up all of a sudden. I hope it continues! Wish us luck!

3 year old check up

I decided to switch pediatricians so yesterday was our 1st appointment at a new office with a new doctor. Noah didn't seem to concerned. The new office had a totally different feel and had new toys.

We met with the new doctor and Noah was very responsive and we really liked the new practice. What Noah didn't like was getting shots. Oops! I had no idea he needed shots but he actually needed 2.

Noah laid down and had no idea the shots were even coming. Once he felt the first one in his thigh he screamed. "Hey, WAIT! WAIT! This hurts! Momma...this HURTS, STOP!" and then he started bawling crying. I mean big ole tears and he screamed so loud I'm sure everyone in the office heard him.

Once we were leaving Noah was given a sucker and a Star Wars sticker. I think he got over the thought of the shots rather quickly. Thankfully we don't have to go back for 6 months...I hope he doesn't remember the shots!

He is in the 90% for weight and 70% for height, what a big boy!

Potty Training

Oy. Potty training. Talk about a nightmare.

Noah has no interest...zero...zilch! "Noah, do you want to go potty like a big boy?" I ask him. His response? Oh he politely says "No, no thank you!". This gets us very far obviously.

I've even had a drawer stock full of underwear for many months. I have Toy Story, Elmo, Sesame Street, Thomas the Train...you get it. I have bought every character in attempts to entice him.

We have tried bribes and well that doesn't work either.

I'm fully thinking that when he is ready, he will be ready and let me know. So for now, that's the plan! I'll still bring it up every few days but I can't pressure him if he isn't interested.

My goal is for him to be potty trained at least within the next 6 months. Hopefully we can make that happen!
